Guidelines for safe IV therapy delivery and management. Understanding patient care, venous system, fluid/electrolyte balance, peripheral veins, venipuncture, catheter usage, specific IV therapies, equipment, and complications. Administration of IV solutions, medications, parenteral nutrition, blood transfusion. Legal aspects and infection control standards. Injection Skills: (manikins) Guidelines for intramuscular (IM), subcutaneous (SQ), intradermal (ID) injections. Approved sites for injection administration, needle gauge/size, safe disposal of supplies, and infection control.
