Requirements: 1. Must have high school diploma or GED/high school equivalency 2. Have completed an EKG technician training or education program within the last 5 years, 3. Have successfully performed ten (10) EKGs on live individuals with proof. Location: 1979 E Edgewood Dr. Suite #107, Lakeland, FL 33803 ***Currently no in person session*** 3 weeks online study, followed by the certification examination at a testing site in your location. Eligibility: Nurses (RN, LPN, APRN), Medical Assistants, Respiratory, Allied Health Professionals, Graduate Nurses. Ideal for those in ER, ICU, Telemetry, and other clinical settings. Content: Anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system. Identification and interpretation of abnormal heart rhythms, including atrial, ventricular, junctional, and pacemaker rhythms. Systematic review of EKG strips, 12-lead EKG procedure, limb and precordial lead placement. Discussion of common cardiovascular diseases and at-risk populations. Strategies for healthy choices and managing medical conditions. Outcome: Post-training certification exam (not included in course fee, $129 - $160). Schedule Exam with certification vendor near your location. NHA is well known nationally with many testing sites. Purpose: To equip healthcare professionals with in-depth knowledge and skills in EKG interpretation and cardiovascular healthcare.
