The purpose of the Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (P.I.C.C) and Midline Catheter management course is to provide guidelines for the delivery and safe management of Intravenous therapy. This course will provide the healthcare workers with an understanding of how to care for patients receiving Intravenous therapy via the P.I.C.C. and Midline Catheters, Care and maintenance of the P.I.C.C and Midline Catheter, Medication and fluid administration, Flushing the catheters, performing dressing change, Management of complications, removing the PICC and Midline, various aspects of intravenous (IV) therapy including, information about the venous system, fluid and electrolyte balance, common I.V. terminology, complications associated with the intravenous route, different types of Intravenous equipment, tubing, I.V. pumps, Dial-a-flow, correct administration of Intravenous solutions, medications, parenteral nutrition, blood transfusion, legal aspect of IV therapy, infection control standards and the scope of practice.

- Application of sterile gloves,
- Sterile Dressing changes & Care and maintenance of the P.I.C.C and Midline Catheter,
- Fluid /medication administration,
- Flushing the PICC/Midline catheters using the S.A.S.H method,
- Drawing Blood from the P.I.C.C./ Midline catheter,
- Changing the End caps,
- Measuring arm circumference etc. to monitor for complications,

The purpose of this course is to review the principles of basic first aid for some common injuries, such as: Fractures, sprains, strains, shock, Head, Neck and Spine Injury, Bleeding, allergies, anaphylaxis, burns, stings, animal Bites, Snake bite, spider bite, scorpion stings and poisoning emergency. Great course for Nurses, CNA/ HHA and individuals who want to be able to assist an injured person/ family until EMS/ first responder arrives on the scene.
