IV THERAPY 30 hr CERTIFICATION include hands-on component, to legally administer IV therapy infusion. This 30-hour IV Certification course meets the requirements of Florida State Board of Nursing for certification of LPNs to administer IV therapy other Healthcare Professionals are also able to take this course; Florida Board of Dentistry personnel; Dentists, Candidate for the Nurse Bridge Program; LPN to RN, Respiratory Therapist to RN program, Candidate entering RN Program are approved to take this course, all Nurses: LPN, RN, ARNP, Graduate Nurses, Medical Assistants, RT, Phlebotomist, LPNs and RNs who want to refresh or have been out of clinical practice, other Healthcare providers whose scope of practice includes IV Therapy, you are also welcome to take this course. PHLEBOTOMY 24hr certification; this course will be provided through classroom lecture, and hands on training in venipuncture techniques and course review. The participant will perform venipuncture technique /lab draws on manikins within the classroom/lab. Phlebotomy practice sessions include: drawing blood via vacutainer, butterfly and syringe methods. Injection skills class session includes video and hands on training in Injection techniques. The course includes preparing injections from a vial, preparing injections from ampule, drawing up medication for administration. Review of guidelines for the delivery and safe management of intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal and z- track injections.
