Supervisory post basic course for LPN in nursing home facilities 30h This course equips LPNs for supervisory roles in nursing home facilities, as required by the Florida Board of Nursing. Covering a 30-hour curriculum, it includes the Nurse Practice Act, LPN scope of practice, supervisory principles, communication, team building, conflict resolution, and delegation. Also covered are work performance, employee evaluation, interpersonal skills, and resolving inappropriate delegation. Completion is mandatory for LPNs in Florida before assuming supervisory positions in nursing homes. OBJECTIVES At the end of this course, the licensed practical nurse (LPN) /reader will be able to: 1. Describe strategies for directing the practice of others 2. Discuss the principles of delegation 3. Discuss the limits of authority 4. Discuss Florida laws and rules for nursing 5.
