Online Session Option: Review the Online 50h course and after complete the Examination online. A practice exam, mirroring the actual test format, is available for preparation before the class examination. This course enhances healthcare professionals' skills in wound care, including assessment, irrigation, and management. It addresses pressure ulcers, different wound types, drainage systems, wound V.A.C. dressing changes/Negative Pressure Wound Therapy, and various dressing techniques. The course, ideal for APRNs, RNs, LPNs, Graduate Nurses, and Medical Assistants, includes hands-on practices and video presentations, serving as an effective wound care refresher. OBJECTIVES – Participants will be able to: 1. Describe the procedure for assessing wounds, 2. Discuss various methods of pressure injury /ulcer prevention, 3. Describe pressure injury /ulcer treatment, 4. Discuss procedures to provide effective wound care management and wound measurement, 5. Describe procedures for irrigating wounds, 6. Describe how to apply dressings, 7. Describe how to change dressings. WOUND CARE MANAGEMENT 50 Hr at the end of the course all participants will receive a 50 hr certificate of completion. Additionally, Nurses will receive 50 hr Continuing Education credits (CE). With this Wound Care Training Certificate , this allows you to seek an entry level position in wound care and document your experience on the job. Healthcare personnel with 3 or more years of documented wound care related experience can apply for National Certification through one of the National Certification Boards.
