It addresses pressure ulcers, different wound types, drainage systems, wound V.A.C. dressing changes/Negative Pressure Wound Therapy, and various dressing techniques. The course, ideal for APRNs, RNs, LPNs, Graduate Nurses, and Medical Assistants, includes hands-on practices and video presentations, serving as an effective wound care refresher. OBJECTIVES – Participants will be able to: 1. Describe the procedure for assessing wounds, 2. Discuss various methods of pressure injury /ulcer prevention, 3. Describe pressure injury /ulcer treatment, 4. Discuss procedures to provide effective wound care management and wound measurement, 5. Describe procedures for irrigating wounds, 6. Describe how to apply dressings, 7. Describe how to change dressings. WOUND CARE MANAGEMENT 50 Hr at the end of the course all participants will receive a 50 hr certificate of completion. Additionally, Nurses will receive 50 hr Continuing Education credits (CE).
