Credits completed are also good for license renewal & will be submitted towards your general credit hours requirement - after course completion see your course & credits in the CE Broker system. The Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance (MQA) verifies your continuing education (CE) records in the electronic tracking system powered by CE Broker prior to your license renewal.

For courses that have a classroom session, Register for class at least 48 hr before class date to reserve seat: registration is required prior to attending class location.

PHLEBOTOMY COURSES (Blood Draw Training)

The purpose of the Phlebotomy course is to provide the healthcare worker/ professionals, with an understanding of Phlebotomy, the reasons for Phlebotomy, review of integumentary system and how it relates to Phlebotomy. The courses will also provide the participant with knowledge relating to the vascular system, legal and professional standards, infection control, accidents/ incidents that can arise through venipuncture procedures and to teach the learner how to handle complications when they occur.

The course options will be provided through online or classroom lectures, hands on training in venipuncture techniques. The participant will perform venipuncture technique /lab draws on manikins within the classroom/lab.

Phlebotomy practice sessions include: drawing blood via vacutainer, butterfly and syringe methods (mannequin).

The courses are approved for all Nurses: LPN, RN, ARNP, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Graduate Nurses, Midwife, RT and Medical Assistants who wants to refresh.
